Our Mission:
“At AMC, we strive to provide our clients with the highest quality veterinary service possible through quality examinations, advanced and accurate diagnostics, and progressive medicine and surgery with compassionate care in a clean and very friendly environment.”
We are pleased to announce that our new Digital X-Ray equipment is up and running here at AMC. With it comes the most advanced veterinary diagnostic imaging capabilities in the state of Kansas.
Digital radiography is far superior to conventional film based radiography. It is similar to comparing the black and white television in the 1950s to the high definition flat panel TVs of today. We are still seeing the same picture, but with far better definition and image quality. And image quality makes the difference when it comes to radiographic diagnoses.
Our new unit is capable of detecting 16,000 shades of gray compared to other digital units with only 4,000 shades of gray. What this means to you is that the image has 4 times the definition and 4 times the clarity of other digital units in the state of Kansas at this time. This allows us diagnose and treat patients more accurately.
This digital transition also means that the turnaround time between x-rays is less, which translates into less waiting time for you! This computer-based system also allows us to copy the images to a disk or email them to you.
You may be wondering about cost. Actually, you shouldn’t notice much of a change in price at all. You will notice the superior imagery, the faster turnaround time, and convenience of our new system.
This amazing piece of equipment is just one more part of our ongoing effort to better serve our clients and our patients. So give us a call and schedule an appointment today!
